MDOT to inform Escanaba residents about bridge construction

ESCANABA, MI--   The Michigan Department of Transportation is holding a meeting in Escanaba to discuss replacement of a bridge over the Escanaba River.

Construction is scheduled this year and next on US-2/41/M-35 and the nearby E&LS Railroad bridge in Wells Township.  Both will be removed and replaced beginning in April. During construction one lane of traffic will be open in each direction on US-2, except for four different mid-week detours for about seven days total.

The meeting will be held Wednesday, March 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Heirman Center conference room at Bay College in Escanaba. The public is encouraged to attend.
