MARQUETTE, MI - A Marquette County Probate Judge has secured a grant to provide in-home family services to improve juvenile probation services in the county.
The Honorable Cheryl Hill on Wednesday announced the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services grant of just under $253,700.
The funds will be used to offer programming to help maintain at-risk youth who have been petitioned into Juvenile Court for delinquency offenses in their own homes. The grant runs for two years through July 31st of 2017.
The expected performance outcomes include a 25% decrease in out-of-home placements, reducing costs to Marquette County.
