Names released in Munising meth bust

MUNISING, MI--   Authorities have released the names of four Alger County residents arrested when police found a meth lab in their vehicle.

On Tuesday troopers from the Munising detachment stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation and discovered a mobile “one-pot” cook.  UPSET detectives were called to collect and dispose of the components.

Officials say Cortne Cornish, 19, Jordan Maddox, 20, Trent Howard, 21, and Trevor Maxon, 17—all of Munising—remain lodged in the Alger County Jail.  They're each charged with manufacture of methamphetamine, punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
