Negaunee to host Mobile Food Pantry

NEGAUNEE, MI--   Feeding America West Michigan is bringing its Mobile Pantry to Negaunee High School next week. 

The pantry will contain 15,000 pounds of fresh produce, dairy products and baked goods with an emphasis on nutrition.

Clients will not have to show identification or proof of income to receive food; however, they will have to affirm they’re in need of food and provide basic contact information. Participants are also encouraged to bring their own bags or boxes.

It’s the 9th Mobile Food Pantry the high school will host. It takes place Wednesday, May 8 at 4:30 p.m. Registration begins at 4 p.m.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
