New COVID cases and deaths in Upper Peninsula

MARQUETTE, MI--   Sunday and Monday numbers, plus Saturday data from Marquette County, amount to a total of 255 new coronavirus cases and six deaths reported in the U.P.

The number per county is as follows:

  • Dickinson-44
  • Gogebic-14
  • Houghton-6
  • Iron-21
  • Keweenaw-2
  • Luce-3
  • Mackinac-3
  • Marquette-90
  • Menominee-16
  • Ontonagon-2
  • Schoolcraft-1

Alger County reported one death Saturday; Delta County had two deaths; one death was in Houghton County; Iron County had two deaths.
As of Monday afternoon a total of 4,316 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the U.P. Seventy people have died.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
