No serious injuries in Marquette accident

MARQUETTE, MI--   One person was taken to the hospital, following a two-vehicle crash in Marquette Wednesday morning.

Around 7:49 City Police responded to the intersection of West Washington Street and McClellan Avenue. They say a westbound vehicle driven by Paul Noreika, 32, of Marquette failed to stop at the red light and struck a northbound vehicle driven by Brianna Cadigan, 26, of Lincoln Park.

Cadigan was taken to UPHS-Marquette for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Noreika was cited for a red light violation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
