Possible coronavirus exposure site found in Marquette

MARQUETTE, MI--   A possible public exposure to COVID-19 has been identified at Lakeview Arena in Marquette.

Contact tracing efforts performed by the Marquette County Health Department led to the discovery. The department is recommending anyone who visited Lakeview on March 14 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19. Contact your medical provider if symptoms develop.

The health department is encouraging all county residents 16 and older to pre-register for a COVID-19 vaccination at www.mqthealth.org. Once vaccine is available an email will be sent to the address provided on the form.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
