ESCANABA, MI-- The northbound and southbound lanes of US-2/41 at the Escanaba River will be closed for bridge work on Monday.
The Michigan Department of Transportation says the closure is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and end around 11 p.m. It’s required to place beams for the new bridge.
During the closure eastbound traffic will be detoured via County Roads 426, 420, and 531, and M-35. The detour will be reversed for westbound traffic.
The project is expected to be substantially completed in November.
