MARQUETTE, MI-- A Negaunee Township home invasion suspect who was knocked out when he ran from police and into a tree has pleaded guilty in the case.
Jacob Roemer, 21, is accused of entering the house in the early morning hours of October 29. He was confronted by the homeowner, then ran from the scene and into the woods. Police later found him unconscious on the ground. Roemer had apparently run into a tree and knocked himself out.
On Friday Roemer pleaded guilty to first-degree home invasion. He’ll be sentenced January 27 under the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act, which will keep his sentence off the public record.
