Suspects in eagle cruelty case identified

GLADSTONE, MI--   Michigan State Police from the Gladstone Post have identified the individuals involved in a cruelty incident with a young eagle.

Troopers say a video of the incident was recently posted on Facebook. They’re asking anyone who shared the video to remove it from their social media, as sharing will hinder their investigation into the incident. Officers are also asking people to let law enforcement complete their inquiry before they comment on social media platforms. Troopers say those actions and comments can also hinder the case and will be reviewed if considered threatening.

Once the investigation is completed, it will be sent to the Delta County Prosecutor’s Office for review. State Police say the review will also include any threatening comments made toward the suspects.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
