ISHPEMING, MI--   The Ishpeming Police Department is searching for a girl allegedly kidnapped by her father.

WLUC-TV reports 11-year-old Syprin Cole, 11, was last seen Saturday night at the Brentwood Motor Inn in Marquette Township with Jason Cole, 46, of Bexar, Texas. He was supposed to return Syprin to her mother on Tuesday but failed to do so.

The Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office has issued a felony warrant on Jason Cole for parental kidnapping.

He is described as a 5’9”, 160-pound white man.

Cole was last seen driving a mid-2000s white Ford F-150 with an eight-foot box. The plate has a Texas registration JPM 5061. Police say the license plate does not belong on that vehicle.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Syprin or Jason Cole is asked to call the Ishpeming Police Department at 486-4416.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
