Woman injured in Chocolay Township accident

CHOCOLAY TOWNSHIP, MI--   A female driver had to be extricated from her vehicle after it rolled over in Chocolay Township.  

Police say the accident happened Thursday around 2:45 p.m. on M-28.  Heather Foster, 20, lost control of her Jeep Cherokee when she tried to pass another vehicle.  The Jeep crossed the centerline, rolled and went into the ditch. 

The Chocolay Township Fire Department extracted Foster from her vehicle.  She was taken to Marquette General Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
