Marquette Choral Society's "Winter Delights" concert, on the air!

Dr. Erin Colwitz

A seasonal concert featuring the music of John Rutter and other winter-themed works

Public Radio 90 presents the Marquette Choral Society's latest holiday-themed concert "Winter Delights," featured on Peninsula Performances. This special program airs on Friday, December 20th at 8 pm EST with a rebroadcast on Tuesday, December 24th at 1 pm, hosted and produced by WNMU-FM's Kurt Hauswirth.

The concert features a choral masterwork for the holiday season, John Rutter's setting of the Magnificat, and other winter-themed works. Dr. Erin Colwitz directed the ensemble on December 7th and 8th, 2024, as the group performed at the Reynolds Recital Hall on NMU's campus in Marquette, Michigan.

We want to thank Dr. Colwitz and the Marquette Choral Society for their ongoing collaboration and support of Public Radio 90, and we thank Dan Zini for recording and mixing the concert for radio broadcast.

Please join us for the radio broadcast presentation of the Marquette Choral Society's "Winter Delights" performance on Friday, December 20th at 8 pm EST. A rebroadcast will occur on Tuesday, December 24th at 1 pm EST.

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, jogging, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
