National Poetry Month

Weekdays at 9:32 a.m. and 3 p.m. in April

April is National Poetry Month and Public Radio 90 is continuing its tradition of showcasing the work of area poets, from NMU students to regional writers. Each weekday morning at 9:32 a.m. and again in the afternoon at 3 p.m. tune in to hear the work of these wonderful, local writers.

Drosen, a native of Brooklyn, NY, has lived and worked in the UP since 1986. Her writings have recently been published in The Woodland Press, LIPS, and elsewhere.

Thorburn is a Marquette poet playwright, author and writing instructor at bothe the K-12 and university levels..

  Andrea Scarpino, a Marquette area poet, is currently working on a book-length poetry project. These are three excerpts.

  Janeen Rastall is a Marquette-area poet.

Ashley Goedker is a graduating senior at NMU with a degree in English, who hails from Brainard, Minnesota.
