  • Dakota is the WNMU Clerk. She moved back to Marquette during the COVID pandemic and feels fantastic now that she gets to see Lake Superior every day! Her desk is littered with Lord of the Rings figurines and science fiction books. You can find Dakota on the many trails around the Marquette area with her dogs or on her bike. Public broadcasting means a lot to Dakota and she feels lucky to be part of the WNMU-FM team!
  • Abigail Faix is a Sophomore at NMU majoring in Multi-Media Journalism. She is from Hartland, Michigan coming to Northern for the hiking, biking and the great programs they have at NMU.
  • My name is Mya Curth, I first started working with WNMU during my sophomore year at NMU (2019). I volunteered as a student news anchor and weather-person for Public Eye News. Through my work with Public Eye, I was offered the opportunity to work as an assistant producer for the “Ask-The” shows that broadcast live on Thursday nights. I help coordinate phone volunteers and questions for the show. I also work as a student receptionist for Public TV and Radio. Currently, I am a senior at Northern studying Environmental Studies & Sustainability and Entrepreneurship. My academic interest is in energy and natural resource policy. During the school year I also work for Eagle Mine in Marquette as a social responsibility assistant. After graduation in April, I plan on attending law school in pursuance of a J.D. in energy and natural resource law.
