ISHPEMING, MI— The Ishpeming Hematite girls basketball team are state champions.
They beat Kingston High School at the Breslin Center in East Lansing Saturday to secure the Division 4 championship. The final score was 73-54.
It’s the first time in the school’s history the team won the crown.
A celebration will be held after Ishpeming High School classes resume following spring break. Details will be released as they become available.
