M. Bartley Seigel is the current U.P. Poet Laureate

Zoa Coudret is an MFA student studying English at Northern Michigan University. They’re originally from Ortonville, Michigan, and also spent time living in Richmond, Virginia. They received their Bachelor’s Degree in Literature and Journalism from Eastern Michigan University. Zoa writes fiction and poetry, and plans to graduate from NMU in May of 2023. Allison Peters is pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing at NMU, expecting to graduate in spring of 2023. She holds an honors degree in English from University of Michigan, with a minor in film and media. She was born in Bakersfield, CA.
