Don't forget to report your deer take, says DNR

LANSING, MI— The Department of Natural Resources is reminding hunters to report their deer harvest online.

Now in its second year, the mandatory reporting was designed to provide the most efficient and effective data for deer management and conservation.

Last year, more than 208,000 hunters submitted a harvest report, and nearly 83 percent of those hunters were able to complete their report in under five minutes.

To make a report, download the Michigan DNR Hunt Fish mobile app, have your hunting license/kill tag number ready, and be sure to record the confirmation number. Or report online at www.michigan.gov/DNRHarvestReport.
