Six arrested in Iron River drug bust

IRON RIVER -

Several suspects have been arrested on drug charges following an Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team investigation in Iron River. UPSET detectives say a search warrant was executed on a residence on 10th Avenue resulting in the discovery of over 4-grams of heroin, evidence of drug packaging/distribution, $1600 in cash, illegal mushrooms, marijuana and illegal prescription drugs. The owner of the residence, Joseph Baclich, Jr., was arrested on Delivery of Heroin charged and arraigned in District Court. Additional charges on Baclich are pending.

Detectives also arrested five other suspects on various charges relating to the sale of heroin and prescription drugs. Arrested were: Michael Glen Walsh, Cami Fittante, and Amy Marcell, all of Iron River… and Rhonda Nichols and Elizabeth Clements, both of Caspian. All suspects were arraigned in District Court… and further charges are pending.

UPSET detective were assisted by the Iron County Sheriff’s Department, Michigan State Police, and the Michigan State Police ‘8th District Hometown Security Team.’
