 Hans Ahlstrom speaks with NMU English department graduate student and assistant Alex Gubbins and Prof. Jason Markle about an upcoming anthology they are publishing. They are members of the U.P. Military Veterans Writers and Artists group, which encourages veterans to use writing and art to help in their transition back to civilian life. The anthology is called “A Time for Revision,” and it will feature work by veterans. Alexander Vartin Gubbins, a graduate student in the NMU Master of Fine Arts Creative Writing program with an emphasis on poetry, also teaches English Composition. Gubbins hails from northern Wisconsin and was in the U.S. Army Reserves, serving a one-year tour of duty in Iraq.
