Undated - The Michigan Clean Water Corps will be training volunteer water quality data collectors for the Cooperative Lakes Monitoring Program (CLMP) this spring. Volunteers monitor water quality, invasive species, and habitat conditions in Michigan lakes. MICorps training in the UP is scheduled for May 18th in Crystal Falls. Interested residents can also attend online training April 30th.
The data they collect will be added to the MICorps Data Exchange, a public database that includes CLMP lake information dating back to 1974
There is no cost to attend these training events. Training is required for new volunteers, and experienced volunteers are encouraged to attend.
