In its 25th Season, the Marquette Symphony Orchestra returns to Kaufman Auditorium for Sounds of the Holidays.

The Marquette Symphony Orchestra is celebrating their 25th season, and they present the return of the much-beloved annual Sounds of the Holidays concert on Saturday, December 18th 2021 at Kaufman Auditorium in Marquette.

We had an opportunity to speak with MSO concertmaster Janis Shier Peterson about this cozy holiday concert; topics include why the MSO's Sounds of the Holiday concert is an essential part of celebrating the holiday season in the Upper Great Lakes, what pieces are on the program this year, and how the MSO has brought performers together from near and far to serve the greater Marquette area:

A conversation with MSO concertmaster Janis Shier Peterson about the 2021 Sounds of the Holidays concert

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
