Launch into winter action by attending the longest consecutive ski jumping tournament in the country! The Ishpeming Ski Club will be hosting the 137th Annual Ski Jumping Tournament, held at the UP Nordic Ski Complex, January 19th-21st, 2024. Friday’s tournament is a U.S. Cup event, and just one stop on the regional premier Four Hills Tournament circuit. Saturday will be the return of the Paul Bietila Memorial Tournament where ski jumpers from all over the U.S.A. will test their abilities to fly as far as possible with the best style. Sunday we will be hosting our junior ski jumping tournament where young skiers from throughout the Central Division will compete to see who will stand on top of the podium. This year’s junior tournament is a Junior National Qualifier and you can bet that these young skiers will be flying far in order to see who will qualify for the Junior National Championships in Alaska this year. The tournament weekend will be complete with tailgating, bonfires, food trucks, beer tent, fireworks after Saturday’s competition and great views of the action on Suicide Hill. There will also be an exciting Nordic combined cross country ski race on the Ishpeming Ski Club, Norman Juhola Trail System during the weekend competition. It's going to be another fantastic weekend full of ski jumping action. If you’ve never witnessed ski jumping live and in person, it's an experience you'll never forget!
