Candidate Forum: Marquette City Commission & Marquette Board of Light and Power

A Public Candidate Forum will be held Tuesday, September 30th for candidates running for the Marquette Board of Light and Power and the Marquette City Commission. The League of Women Voters of Marquette County will moderate the Forum and present proposed ballot measures for Michigan’s 2026 election.

The Forum will be held in Marquette’s City Commission Chambers, 300 W. Baraga St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The Forum begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. It will be live streamed to the LWVMC YouTube Channel and recorded for later viewing. The audience may meet and speak with the candidates after the Forum.

All candidates for these races have been invited to participate. Each candidate will answer the same questions submitted by constituents. Questions may be combined or edited for clarity and pertinence. What do you want to know about the candidates for the MBLP and City Commission?
