UP man accused of wounding 2 troopers sentenced to prison

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   A 50-year-old man who authorities say shot and wounded two state troopers serving a warrant at a home in Norway will spend at least 20 years in prison.

The Daily News of Iron Mountain reports that Richard Goodreau was sentenced Monday in Dickinson County.

Goodreau pleaded no contest in January to five felony counts of assault with intent to murder and one felony firearm charge, and guilty to three felony counts of possession of child sexually abusive material.

Police say the attack happened in February 2015 in Norway. One trooper was treated at a hospital and released, while the other sought treatment independently.

A criminal complaint says 95 sexually explicit videos featuring children were found after police seized two computers and digital storage devices.
