Woman to stand trial in 2014 slaying of Iron River man

IRON MOUNTAIN, MI (AP)--   An Indiana woman will stand trial in the slaying of 53-year-old Christopher Karl Regan of Iron River. 

Kelly Cochran, 34, is to be arraigned Oct. 11 in Iron County Trial Court on murder and other charges.

Regan last was seen in Iron River in October 2014. His car was found in a park-and-ride lot in Iron County.

Cochran was arrested in April by U.S. Marshals and Kentucky State Police in Wingo, Kentucky. After her arrest, a skull containing teeth that matched Regan's dental records were found near the Pentoga trail in Iron County.

Cochran also faces a homicide charge in Indiana in the Feb. 20 death of her husband, Jason Cochran.
