Cochran pleads not guilty to homicide

CRYSTAL FALLS, MI--   A former Iron River woman has been arraigned in Iron County Trial Court on six charges, including murder.

Kelly Cochran, 33, is charged with homicide-open murder in the death of Christopher Regan, 53, in October of 2014. She’s also charged with second-degree home invasion, conspiracy to commit dead bodies – disinterment and mutilation, concealing the death of an individual, lying to a police officer, and accessory after the fact to a felony.  Cochran is also charged with killing her husband Jason, 37, in February of this year in Indiana.

Cochran pleaded not guilty to all counts.

Trial is set for December. Jury selection will start December 5.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
