Suspect crashes stolen vehicle into car in Delta County

DELTA COUNTY, MI--   A Wisconsin man has been arrested, following a two-vehicle accident in Delta County. 

Sheriff’s deputies say Thursday night around 11:20 they tried to conduct a traffic stop on M-35 near Fuller Park. The vehicle took off and officers pursued it north on M-35. After he struck a passenger car near 9th Lane, the driver jumped from the suspect vehicle as it went into the ditch. He resisted deputies as he was taken into custody.

Officials say the vehicle was stolen from Appleton and the 23-year-old suspect was in possession of meth.

The man was lodged in the Delta County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, fleeing and eluding, possession of a dangerous weapon, resisting and obstructing, possession of meth, and operating without a license. Bond is set at $275,000.

No one was injured in the crash.
