Hancock woman arrested for meth delivery

HANCOCK, MI--   The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested a Hancock woman on Friday, following a three-month investigation.

Christina Kela, 36, was taken into custody on five counts of delivery of meth. Each count is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

Kela was lodged in the Houghton County Jail on a $50,000 bond.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
