Two L'Anse men arrested for delivery of meth

BARAGA COUNTY, MI— The Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team has arrested two Baraga County residents in separate drug investigations.

On Friday, UPSET detectives and Michigan State Police from the Calumet Post apprehended a 37-year-old L’Anse man for delivery of meth and habitual offender - 4th offense. Troopers seized several types of prescription drugs at the scene.

In a different incident, detectives and troopers arrested a 39-year-old L’Anse man on one count of delivery of meth and habitual offender - 3rd offense.

Both suspects remain lodged at the Baraga County Jail. Their names are being withheld, pending arraignment.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
