Hiawatha wood-cutting permit dates extended

GLADSTONE, MI--   Hiawatha National Forest is extending the use of its free, personal-use wood cutting permits.

Current permits are set to expire Friday, but forest officials say they’re now extended to June 15 as a service to the public. The expiration date will automatically extend for those who already have a permit.

To get a free firewood cutting permit contact your local National Forest District office.
