Northern Arts & Culture: A special guest flutist joins Marquette Symphony Orchestra this October

Octavio Mas-Arocas

Music Director and Conductor Octavio Mas-Arocas discusses repertoire

Octavio Mas-Arocas joined Kurt Hauswirth in our studios during the Oktoberfest fund drive to talk about an upcoming Marquette Symphony Orchestra concert.

The MSO will perform on October 15th, 2022 in the Kaufman Auditorium with repertoire from Carlos Simon, Mozart, Beethoven, and Respighi. The concert will feature guest flutist Adam Sadberry who is on the faculty at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and acting principal flute of the Memphis Symphony Orchestra.

Visit marquettesymphony.org for information on upcoming Marquette Symphony events.

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
