A talk with President Susan Roll

The Upper Peninsula Arts & Culture Alliance is committed to connecting artists, culture bearers, galleries, museums, and arts and culture organizations with each other and with representatives of local governments, economic development organizations, and the tourism industry.

The Alliance currently has three major projects:

  1. An economic impact study of arts and culture across the Upper Peninsula, in partnership with Americans for the Arts
  2. A directory of artists and arts & culture organizations from across the Upper Peninsula (connected with Marquette Compass)
  3. Regranting of Michigan's Arts and Culture Council mini-grants for the Central Upper Peninsula

Kurt Hauswirth discussed these major projects with Susan Roll, the President of the Upper Peninsula Arts and Culture Alliance:

The next public reception takes place on March 21st in Manistique, MI. The Alliance is also collecting Arts & Economic Prosperity surveys until April 2023.

Visit the Upper Peninsula Arts and Culture Alliance website for more information.

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
