Marquette City Band is gearing up for another Summer Concert Series, starting Thursday, June 8th at Presque Isle Park.
The band has served audiences and preserved tradition since 1887, beginning with performances from immigrant bands that played around the Upper Great Lakes. They started having regular concerts in 1929 and haven't stopped since, although they did tweak the way they performed during the height of the Covid pandemic. The band is now comprised of professional musicians and music teachers, community musicians, and high school and college students.
The Summer Concert Series continues the performance tradition with a bi-weekly schedule starting Thursday, June 8th, 2023 at 7:30 pm.
