A Marquette artist that loves dance and painting is on display at Zero Degrees Gallery this May.
Susan Grant started her career as a professional dancer and now paints local landscapes that reflect her favorite outdoor activities. She has explored the world through dancing opportunities and brings that influence to her work. When she moved back to the Upper Peninsula she found new inspiration in her paintings, using acrylics and oil-based paints. Her main preference is environmentally friendly water-based oil.
Kurt Hauswirth spoke with Susan via phone about her display at Zero Degrees along with Marc Himes:
A reception for Susan Grant takes place Saturday, May 13th from 1-4 pm at the gallery, located at 525 North Third Street in Marquette.
