The duo of After Ours is the combination of Eli Kahn on effected 7-string guitars and Arthur Schroeder on the drum set. They make what they call "head-nod-jazz," pulling from influences like modern jazz, grunge, instrumental hip-hop, and experimental music. Their latest album Music for Cats is out now and they continue to explore this playground of sound through studio work and live experimentation.
Kurt talked with Eli about the making of their latest album, the duo's background, and what drives them to continue recording and touring:
