The Local Spin with Addicus

Centering a band around friendship and mental health creates a solid foundation; the Marquette indie/power-pop band Addicus is solid as a rock.

Alexis, Josh, Eric, and Andy comprise the band Addicus, who have made music together for only a few years. Still, the band has released a series of EPs and singles and is working on their self-titled full-length album, due for release sometime in the summer of 2024. Apart from recording, the group has played live in various Upper Peninsula venues and downstate Michigan.

Kurt Hauswirth welcomed Alexis, Josh, and Eric of Addicus to Studio A for an interview, discussing inspirations, aspirations, recording plans, and more:

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
