Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Upper Peninsula recently received national recognition by winning the Small Agency of the Year Award.
The U.P. branch of BBBS won the award at their National Conference in Dallas, Texas, where they also won the 2023 Growth Award, received by serving more youth within a calendar year than in previous years. They recently took on more youth from counties where other locations closed, such as Dickinson and Delta Counties. Overall, BBBSMQT serves Marquette, Alger, Luce, Delta, Dickinson, and Schoolcraft Counties.

The organization is planning Lunch and Learn sessions to interface with people from some of the more recently served areas of the U.P.
