Marquette Choral Society's "Carols and Lullabies" concert featured on Peninsula Performances

Dr. Erin Colwitz

A seasonal concert featuring the music of Benjamin Britten and Conrad Susa

Public Radio 90 presents Marquette Choral Society's latest holiday-themed concert Carols and Lullabies, featured as a special edition of Peninsula Performances. This special program airs on Friday, December 23rd at 8 pm EST with a rebroadcast on Tuesday, December 27th at 1 pm EST and is hosted and produced by WNMU-FM's Kurt Hauswirth.

The Carols and Lullabies concert features two choral masterworks for the holiday season; Benjamin Britten's A Ceremony of Carols and Conrad Susa's companion piece Carols and Lullabies: Christmas in the Southwest. Dr. Erin Colwitz directed the ensemble on December 17th and 18th, 2022, which also marked the choral group's return to the Kaufman Auditorium in Marquette, Michigan.

We would like to thank Dr. Colwitz and the Marquette Choral Society for their ongoing collaboration and support of Public Radio 90, and we would like to thank Gerald Kippola who recorded and mixed the concert for radio broadcast.

Please join us for the radio broadcast presentation of the Marquette Choral Society's Carols and Lullabies performance on Friday, December 23rd at 8 pm EST. A rebroadcast will occur on Tuesday, December 27th at 1 pm EST.

Kurt lives in Marquette with his family and can’t imagine living anywhere else. He loves music, games, running, being near water, and a fine cold brew coffee.
