A new fund will support local nonprofits serving those experiencing homelessness and going through recovery, who critically need emergency and transitional housing.

The Zacchaeus Fund was established to support local nonprofits focusing on addressing homelessness and supporting recovery. The Community Foundation of Marquette County is tasked to disperse $180,000 in grants to nonprofits across Marquette County. The funds are distributed to Great Lakes Recovery Centers, the Women's Center of Marquette, the Janzen House, the Room at the Inn, and Superior Connections.

In partnership with the CFMC, the Zacchaeus Fund addresses the cycle of addiction and homelessness and supports vulnerable populations toward recovery and stable housing. The fund supports nonprofits and their missions with immediate grant funding and the goal of growing the fund in the long-term.
