The classic film Anatomy of a Murder will be presented and discussed through the modern-day lens of the #MeToo movement.
Drs. Caroline Krzakowski and Anna Zimmer of Northern Michigan University will host a three-day event, featuring a film screening, keynote lecture, and roundtable discussion of the film from April 7th to 9th. A screening of "Anatomy of a Murder" will take place on Sunday, April 7th at the Mead Auditorium, with appetizers, snacks, and refreshments served during intermission. Following that, a keynote lecture with Dr. Christian Keathley from Middlebury College will be held on Monday, April 8th at the Art & Design building. The lecture is titled "Scene/Unscene: Enigmas of Plot and Character in Anatomy of a Murder." Lastly, a roundtable discussion will take place on Tuesday, April 9th to explore how the #MeToo movement impacts the understanding of the film. The discussion will include NMU faculty and staff, along with Dr. Keathley.
