CRYSTAL FALLS, MI-- Kelly Cochran has been found guilty of first-degree murder following a nearly three-week trial in Iron County Circuit Court.
WLUC-TV reports the 34-year old Cochran was also convicted on four other charges, including larceny in a building, conspiracy to commit dead bodies-disinterment and mutilation, concealing the death of an individual, and lying to a police officer.
Cochran was accused of killing Christopher Regan, 53, of Iron River in October of 2014. She was taken into custody in April of last year. Following her arrest, a skull containing teeth that matched Regan's dental records were found near the Pentoga Trail in Iron County.
Closing arguments were held Tuesday morning, and the jury began deliberations in the afternoon.
Sentencing is set for May 10.
